Business Image
In the past, the life insurance industry was a “gentlemen’s business”…clients typically met an agent that represented a good company, became comfortable with their products and stayed with the agent and the company.

Today, the captive agents who place the majority of their business with one company are increasingly finding that their products are uncompetitive.

Our Policy Alignment ReportTM

Our Policy Alignment ReportTM presents a thoughtful comparison of existing life insurance policies and new policies with updated pricing and guarantees. The results will either validate the current policy or present opportunities for significant improvements.

Almost 40% of life insurance agents with 20 years of experience have left the business. Further, new agent retention hovers around 10% and of those remaining the focus of their practices is on investments and money management rather than life insurance.

Without a qualified servicing agent, clients are left with the daunting task of determining if newer products are more cost effective and able to provide better policy guarantees.

Pricing Changes

Important medical improvements continue to dramatically reduce premiums. Unfortunately, most agents are focused on new sales rather than updating existing policies.

Consequently, many policies are not performing as expected. They are overpriced and do not include updated policy guarantees that are available in the marketplace with current policies. Premium reductions have been and continue to be significant as people live longer, healthier lives and the advances in research and diagnostic technologies continue to forge forward.

Less than 10 years ago, clients with serious health concerns would not have been likely candidates to secure life insurance coverage because of many conditions. Today, medical advances in the diagnostics and treatments of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes specifically have made such significant improvements that there are tremendous opportunities for people with these same medical issues to obtain insurance coverage at appropriate premium levels.
"The Bishop Company offered me an unbiased, clear understanding of my personal and business needs. It was so refreshing to have an honest assessment, instead of some new sales pitch.

I wouldn't work with anyone else and will continue to refer The Bishop Company to other business owners who need this type of analysis and advice."
